How We Partner with Interior Designers on Their Projects

I would like to welcome each of you to our New Website!  We hope that you enjoy it!

Teamwork!!

No matter if you are a Designer, an Installer, or a Workroom, you are all a Team.  Each and every entity is crucial to a successful, and stunning ending of each and every design project you enter into together.   it is important to respect the Relationship between the designers, the installer, as well as the workroom in order to have the Perfect Drapery Execution and Installation.

To have a beautiful, finished Window Treatment it is necessary for all parties, the Designer, Installer, and Workroom to keep the line of communication open and talk to each other, plan together, so that the finished product will be exactly what the client wants.

How is this accomplished? It actually can be quite simple if all parties are involved from the beginning.

The Designer helps create the design with their client for the Window Treatments.  Next into play is the Installer.  His part of this is twofold.  He is the pro with the installation so who better to measure the space for the Window Treatments.  We have had many Designers tell me “I measured because I just could not wait for the Installer to measure”.  This will, often times not end well.   Our personal opinion is waiting for an Installer to measure is worth so much more than the expense and embarrassment of a finished treatment that is not exactly how it was envisioned.   The Designer is responsible for making sure the measurements, notes, as well as any pictures from the installer get to the Workroom, as well as a request for the project to be quoted.   The Workroom has the opportunity at this point to talk to the Installer if they see a window(s) that need special attention such as corner windows. The Installer and Workroom discuss the best means of fabrication in order to get the best fit for the window treatment at install.

Paperwork, Paperwork, Paperwork!!

Aside from the Designer giving the Workroom a PO, the Installer needs paperwork from the Designer indicating which windows are getting treatments so the Installer can allocate the amount of time needed to install.  The Workroom also should provide paperwork to the Installer indicating what he is getting to install, where, how many pairs, what hardware, hard treatments, etc. so he is prepared for the installation.

Simple advance preparations can lead to a smooth installation and a happy homeowner.

Until we Meet Again!
